
Objective
A start-up wedding and special event videography company with a very limited advertising budget required a professional yet cost-effective solution to market their services. To maximize their budget and keep costs down significantly, they wanted to start small and then progress with a well-thought out expansion plan that encompassed future considerations and campaigns.
Solution
After discussion with the client, we began by designing a temporary splash website promoted by postcard-style information cards for tradeshows, conventions and person-to-person distribution, using similar images and an identical theme. The cards, updated for a minimal cost every year, provide an overview of the current wedding packages available and also direct interested parties online to learn more.
Result
This effective marketing plan resulted in the first year of bookings to be filled rapidly. Beginning with a splash page coupled with postcard promotions, this solution offered compelling sales information and left a positive impression with countless interested parties. Almost 100% of referrals in the first year came directly from the temporary website, be that they were driven there by the postcards or found the site through Google.
